Wieringen once was an island. The villages are different. The sloping landscape is different. The church is the oldest church in the Netherlands. Small twisting trails are decorated by hawthorns. These waters can also be found all around the beautiful Robbenoord forest. The forest can be reached within a 5 minute cycling trip from the holiday houses. Several locations can be visited within the near area of the holiday home; such as the biggest shrimp supply dock in Europe and the Afsluitdijk. The Afsluitdijk is a hydraulic engineering masterpiece and is known in the world as one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Netherlands.
